ABOUT THE EVENT

Say farewell to 2021 with exciting street entertainment for all ages including daring circus performers, children’s workshops, vibrant installations, roving acts, and fireworks! Each year, this free family-friendly event draws thousands of people from all over Perth into the city and Northbridge.

Plan ahead and visit Forrest Place to get some great food from the Twilight Hawkers Markets from 4.30pm. Visit some Christmas Lights Trail installation before wandering to Yagan Square where the Variety Stage displays comedy acts and circus performances to entertain all ages between 6pm and midnight in the amphitheater. But don’t go too far, check out the daring and graceful aerial display at 8.30pm located by the digital tower.

Next take a walk down William St and be immersed with a party of street performers and roving entertainers, from loud and funky roving bands to magicians, jugglers, and stilt walkers.
Kids will find all the fun in Perth Cultural Centre, with the annual Fun Fair including carnival rides and games galore. WA Museum is also extending their hours until 9pm and additional children’s workshops are taking place right on their doorstep.

At 9pm the kids can get ready to count down to the first spectacular fireworks display while those without a curfew can enjoy a magnificent sparkled sky that will lead us into the New Year at midnight. To get a good spot for the fireworks, make sure you are located in the following spots:

  • Perth Cultural Centre
  • Yagan Square
  • William Street (between Francis and Roe Street)
  • Friday, 31 December 2021
