Thu Van Tran, Yen Yen Ho: Open Studios
ABOUT THE EVENT
This Bunuru season, PICA is thrilled to host Yen Yen Ho (Taipei) and Thu Van Tran (Paris) as part of our International Artist Exchange Program. Throughout their residencies, both artists will open their studios, offering an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at their creative processes and research.
Yen Yen Ho’s project uncovers hidden cultural connections between Taipei and Australia, drawing on her background as an archaeology assistant to intertwine history and contemporary art. Thu Van Tran will experiment with ceramics and locally sourced earth, exploring the transformative power of fire within the Australian landscape.
Join us for this special opportunity to meet the artists, hear about their work, and enjoy a late-night viewing of our current Perth Festival exhibitions, Oui Move in You by Laure Prouvost, In Her Footsteps: A Tribute to Matrilineal Legacy curated by Hannah Mathews and Birradali Dancing on the Horizon by Bhenji Ra.
Don’t miss this chance to experience art in the making!
