What is Western Australian Design? Is it simply an aesthetic? Is it a response to our unique place? Is perhaps fuelled by our isolation, or our pioneering spirit? 

What is it that makes our buildings, spaces, products, and fashion distinctively Western Australian?

Perth Design Week worked closely with local design leaders to present an exhibition as diverse as our design community. Western Australian Design Now features projects from 30 designers spanning architecture, interior design, furniture, fashion, objects, engineering, graphics, and more.

While this exhibition is by no means exhaustive, it vividly illustrates that the innovation and creativity being practiced in WA continues to be of a global standard.
